IN HONOR OF LYNNE J. IDE

March 8, 1947 - April 20, 2009

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October, 2010

A tribute by Pauline Payne

On a cold day on March 1947, in the little town of Burlington, Wisconsin, a baby girl entered this world.  She was welcomed by her parents and two much older sisters.  She was named Marilyn Joyce Schroeder, and quickly called Lynne.  She was a sweet, inquisitive little girl who early on was an animal lover.  In the spring she'd toddle around the yard in search of baby bunny nests to show everyone -- look but don't touch.  She lived close to a lake and became a very proficient little fish.  She astonished everyone when, sitting on the sofa one day she proceeded to read her little storybook aloud. She was only about four years old and had memorized her favorite books.  In grade school she was an excellent student, also a ballet and gymnastics student.  Entering high school she excelled in typing, shorthand, bookkeeping and also photography, something she loved all her life.

She was an excellent court reporter, an avid scuba diver and world traveler.  She was also very conscious of a healthy diet and exercise.  She walked six miles every weekend on the causeway with her friends, had breakfast out, then home to her little furries and feathers.

In January, 2005, she called and mentioned she had been diagnosed with breast cancer.  She went to radiation and on to work, taking it all in stride, and continued on with her life.

In March, 2009, we celebrated her 62nd birthday at my home, her last.

In April, 2009 I got an E-mail saying she had low -grade lymphoma and the doctor told her she might have a little fatigue otherwise it shouldn't bother her, she scheduled her chemo and a cruise to the Greek Isles. She had her first treatment on a Thursday, walked her six miles on Saturday and a week later I watched as she peacefully left us.  She was my sister, and only GOD knows how much I love her and miss her.

Thinking of you and often think of the fun we had together.  Spring is blooming and your beautiful cardinals are all around.  A day never goes by without hearing them or seeing one and knowing how close you and Mom and Dad and Mark and Julie are to us always.  Love and miss you all.
Bratchild MISSING YOU April 20, 2016
Lynne, I think of you often.  I say to Self, what would Lynne do?  And then I'd put on my big girl panties and DO IT!  All the BOBS are doing well, but we sure do miss you!  I'm sure I'll see you again this summer on my trip!  I love it that you follow me where ever I wander!  XO

Hi Lynne,

Lost my beloved Harley Kitty this week to liver cancer.  I loved him so much and my heart is breaking.  Please find him there in heaven, and give him a "tummy rub" , as it was a nightly ritual with him jumping on the bed, flopping over, and waiting for me to rub his white fluffy tummy.  He loved to play "invisible kitty" and hide between the shower curtain and liner, so you may find him near a bathtub! I miss you Lynne, and am counting on you to take care of my precious little boy.  Thanks Lynne, I always could count on you.

Lynne, had such a flashback today.  Had a SandyS realtime booking today, and I asked a reporter we've just started working with to meet me there so I could give her a hands-on in realtime hookin'.  Lucy and I reminisced about when I first started turning you over to Sandy and would meet you there to babysit the tech :).

Lynne,
i sent my lil Mako to you two weeks ago.  I don't know how many bridges he has to cross, but look out for him otay?  He luvs being brushed w/ long-hair "rake" WHILE he eats.  He'd sit behind me and "Maako" to me and when I'd get up, he'd lead me like Lassie the dog, to his dish, so I could brush him while he munched.
I sang "little bunny foo-foo" to him,,,,,,,,,,,even after I learned the first verse - oops!
He's just such a soft bunny kinda guy...... he'd never hurt a field mouse - never !

just came back from our eve walk with Duke, my last baby.  We got to end of drive and there were 2 "brother" red cardinals playing in the middle of the street.  I'm hoping that was a red cardinal PLAYFUL sign that y'all are playing nicely!!
Thanks for the HugeHug last week.
I think I've now lost more loved beings than I still have loved beings.......getting close for sure.
Pray to St. Francis, and he'll direct more critters your way to play with......miss you honey !!1
xoxo

What a nice tribute to a classy gal.

I had the pleasure of Lynnes company, along with a few of our common friends, on several weekend boat trips on my boat.  I am really sorry that I couldnt attend her memorial  but im grateful for the short time I got to know Lynne.  She had a charm about her that you dont see too often.

When I reminisce about the many boating adventures Ive had  past and present, I think of the fun times with Lynne and her friends.

God bless her soul.

~In Memory of your "April Angel" Lynne Ide~

April

The angel of April is the spirit of rebirth.

As the days grow longer and the sun begins to warm us, April is a time for new life and new beginnings.  April's angel spurs us to test ourselves in new directions and to make ourselves vulnerable in the face of unfamiliar people, situations and places.  Encouraged by the April angel, we search for new and novel endeavors that will enrich our lives and bring new meaning to our career or family roles.

The April angel teaches us to delight in each sign of awakening, in nature and within ourselves.

You and your family are in my prayers!! God Bless!

Lynne,

From our brief period of exchanging e-mails, I remember you as one sweet, kind, classy, and happy lady.  I sure wish I could've met you, but I'm honored to have been an e-bud.

Hey girl,

I am sorry that I was not able to attend the memorial service; however, I was there in mind and spirit.  I know you would know but I had to say it.  I miss you dearly and think about you often.

OMG...I have got to let you know that I got the earrings to match my David Yurman bracelet for my birthday.  I know you would appreciate hearing this so I had to let you know as I thought of you instantly ... as you said "great minds think alike".

I really miss you and miss hearing your stories/updates of the cats, trips and Skip.

You will always hold a special spot in my heart!  Besitos!

News of Lynne's death has shocked and saddened me.  We worked together in Kenosha before she moved to Florida.  It has probably been 15 years since we communicated, but from reading your comments it is obvious she so totally enjoyed her life and her friends.  She will be missed.
